Play, engage, and experiment at Bloom: Innovative Solutions for Inclusion Seminar on October 3, 2019, at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC from 8:30a-5:00p with a reception following the event.

 This event is designed by host company, Social Designs, in collaboration with the Presenting Sponsor Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty. The goal is to provide an experience connecting leaders from multiple industries for the purpose of developing solutions for inclusive organizational practices in an interactive and practical way.

Participants are encouraged to come with specific ideas and issues facing their organizations, and will leave the seminar with a direct, organized, and actionable plan. Continuing education credits are also available for attendees.

 Bloom Inclusion is not your average diversity conference. Participants who experience Bloom Inclusion receive genuine inspiration to push inclusion forward in organizations and in communities.

Presenters from the Triad, Texas, and Michigan bring personal examples of challenge and real-world workplace experiences of how to effectively create more profitable, efficient, and healthy work environments for everyone.

The Curated Networking session will be led by over 25 local leaders in various industries including, banking, k-12 education, mortgage, health care, government, non-profit, higher education, and innovative entrepreneurs.

 The keynote address, Building Inclusion through Authenticity and Trust: Connecting Personal Growth & Unconscious Bias, will be delivered by Dave McIntosh, PhD, MA, Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer, Wake Forest Baptist Health.

McIntosh shares, “We’re all on a learning journey and we all have room to stretch and grow. We are all striving to support a climate and culture where everyone can feel included, welcomed, valued, and supported, and we are all learning how to best do this in our environment. That’s why a seminar like this is so powerful. This is an opportunity for each of us to engage, grow, and learn together.”

 Workshop sessions: Healthy Culture & Compliance: Tools for Communication & Confrontation, Sharpen Your Inclusion Edge: Key Strategies for Developing the Inclusion Business Case, and Inclusive Leadership: Mindsets, Skillsets, and Measurements for High Performing Organizations.

Workshop presenters include: Dr. Zitty Nxumalo, Natalie Sanders, Jada Monica Drew, Eric Polite II, and Jorge Zeballos.

The lunch panel discussion, “Innovative Inclusion: A Growth Mindset Conversation,” is sponsored by Cone Health, HanesBrands, VF Corporation, and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and will be moderated by Reginald Miller- Vice President of Global Inclusion & Diversity of VF Corporation.

Panelists include: Kiva Elliott- Vice President & Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer of Cone Health, Derek Ellington- Mid-South Region Executive of Bank of America, Jeanne Tedrow- President/CEO of the North Carolina Center for Non Profits, and Julius Tillery- CEO of Black Cotton.
